Thomas became interested in hairdressing at an early age of 15. He has played many different roles over the years — Salon cleaner, salon apprentice, shampoo boy, Hairdresser Assistant, Professional Hairdresser, to name a few — and one of the most versatile Colorist and Educator around. Born on 12th May, 1975; Thomas grew up in Singapore. He left high school in 1991 and went on to work as a salon cleaner as his parents cannot afford him an education in a Hairdressing Academy.
Along his career path, Thomas saved enough money working as a salon cleaner and went on to complete his Hairdressing training with Headquarters Hair Academy while he moved from salons to salons hoping to see and learn from other professional hairdressers.
Thomas had worked for Beauty Services Italy, GreenLight Brand as a Asia Pacific Technical Trainer as well as Technical Manager for JOICO Singapore. This is where Thomas got his break as an Educator. Thomas was sent overseas to train with various great Artistes and all these trainings and travelling really grind Thomas into a top-notch Hairdresser, Colorist and Educator. Along his career as an Educator, he represented product lines which engaged his services as a Platform Artiste and Educator.
A popular quote “Breaking the Rules Without Breaking the Law,” is what Thomas follow and preaches. This quote taught him to be versatile and adaptable in all situations.
With over two decades of involvement in hairdressing, Thomas biggest wish is to start a free Hair Academy for poor people who cannot afford the money but aspire to become hairdresser.
